Our Story
BoyleSports is the largest independently owned bookmaker in Ireland and is now growing across new global markets.
Founded in 1982 by John Boyle, the business has grown to include over 375 shops across Ireland and the UK, a best-in-class betting app and an online gaming platform available across a number of international markets.
Join us on the journey
Key recent milestones in the growth of the company include a move into the UK market with the acquisition of a group of shops in the Midlands and the purchase of 33 William Hill shops in Northern Ireland. Our retail estate continues to grow in the UK, with ambitious plans for the next few years.
BoyleSports is regulated for betting and gaming activities in Ireland, the UK and Gibraltar. A Marketing Operations centre was opened in 2015, based in Ocean Village, Gibraltar, employing over 40 staff.

I started in BoyleSports in early 2005 when I was a student at college in our teletext/screens department. After three years, I took a year out to travel Australia and was welcomed back with open arms to BoyleSports when I arrived home from that trip, which speaks for itself. I joined the Results and Settlements Team before being promoted to work in the Content Team primarily covering our social media channels. The opportunities are endless within a company of this size as long as you have the passion and commitment to thrive. I adore my job and the people I work alongside are among the best in the industry. Here’s to the next 15 years!

I started with BoyleSports in June 2007 as a summer job while in college, a well-trodden path! When I finished college, I was delighted to transfer to the Dublin area. I threw myself into my role and progressed to Shop Manager before then taking great personal stride in being appointed Regional Manager. When the opportunity to work in the HR Department arose, I grabbed it with both hands and BoyleSports supported me in completing a degree in HR Management and I have not looked backed since! I would encourage all staff to explore their options within the business and to take a chance. My first Regional Manager bet me that I would never leave, I suppose I owe her €20.
