The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen as Maintenance Technician, joining a newly formed Maintenance team in the UK. Are you a skilled technician with a knack for cabinetry, plumbing, painting or general maintenance? Do you thrive on the road, tackling new challenges every day? Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician! You'll be the go-to expert, ensuring our retail locations are in top-notch condition. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and our customers happy. This role requires travel throughout the UK, but primarily based around the Manchester/Birmingham area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair: Use your expert skills to troubleshoot and fix issues that arise in our retail stores. No two days are the same!
- Routine Maintenance: Keep our facilities in prime condition with regular inspections, adjustments, and preventive maintenance. Your attention to detail will make all the difference.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough safety checks to ensure compliance with industry standards. Safety first, always!
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work. Your organization skills will help us stay on top of everything.
- Service Calls: Respond quickly to service calls and perform on-site repairs. Your promptness and efficiency will be key.
- Inventory Management: Manage tools, spare parts, and materials to ensure you're always prepared for the next job.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with store managers and staff, providing updates and addressing any concerns. Your friendly demeanour will build strong relationships.
- Internal Support: Liaise with our Facilities administration team, to ensure that jobs are getting signed off and you receive support out in the field. Team work is the dream work.
Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Qualified in cabinetry or plumbing is a distinct advantage. Your expertise will shine in this role.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or commercial setting. You're a seasoned pro!
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are a big plus. Show us what you've got!
- Driver’s License: A valid, clean driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively across the UK. You're ready to hit the road!
- Safety Compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to conduct safety audits. Safety is your middle name.
