Retail Marketing & Communications Executive
The RMCE will assist the Retail Marketing Manager (RMM) in delivering effective promotional campaigns and general Marketing support for the shop estate.
Role Purpose
The RMCE will assist the Retail Marketing Manager (RMM) in delivering effective promotional campaigns and general Marketing support for the shop estate.
Taking a campaign from inception to delivery and assessing effectiveness will be central to the role. Communication skills are of paramount importance given the varied nature of the briefing internally and directly to shop colleagues. Their understanding and buy in are crucial aspects of the role’s purpose.
The RMCE will oversee effective use of the comms channels to shop colleagues to deliver instruction and buy in whether email, snap comms or SharePoint. The RMCE will be a proficient manager of the SharePoint intranet site, delivering retail and wider business comms as required by the HRM.
The RMCE will be a visible and accessible member of the marketing team, regularly visiting BOYLE Sports shops and being close to the Broadcast Studio and Operations management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the briefing, delivery and execution of Retail Marketing campaigns as directed by the RMM
- Be the main point of contact for Operations management and shop teams to assist in effective Marketing activity (eg display, promotional instruction and queries)
- Maximise communications to shop teams, utilising all tools available (email, SharePoint, conference calls etc)
- Work on local promotions as directed by the RMM to drive business growth at a specific shop level
- Assist the HRM in wider business comms through our intranet SharePoint
- Work closely with Machines and BOYLE Xtra teams to ensure all business needs are met and campaigns reflect wider business goals
- Build strong relationships with Central Operations team and suppliers to maximise efficiency in shop ordering
- Make recommendations based on information collated relating to competitive shop activity
- Undertake additional duties as determined by the RMM
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Educated to degree level in a Marketing-related subject is preferable but not essential
Specialist Skills and Experience Required
- Prior experience working in or supporting retail betting shops is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of betting shop operation
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Motivated to succeed in a hands-on and demanding environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team as a key member of the Marketing and Comms teams
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office portfolio
